How do I know whether my roof needs repair or replacement?
It comes down to how widespread the damage is and how much service life the roof has left. Isolated damage on a roof in otherwise good shape is usually a repair; broad wear or damage across several slopes usually is not. An inspection is the reliable way to tell.
